Our meetings are open to all NYU students. We invite speakers from the tech & VC industry and host workshops to further our students’ education.
Select the right fit for you.
We host various events every semester to introduce and connect the NYU community with VCs, startups, and local businesses.
A case competition where students pitch to real VCs
No, we welcome (and encourage) your involvement.
We're looking to recruit for a range of talent and want to hear from the voices of students from different backgrounds and fields. Whether you're studying arts, engineering, science, or just about anything else, we welcome your involvement.
No, we don't invest; at least not yet.
Analyzing potential startup investment opportunities is a key component of the work we do, but we do not operate or manage our own venture fund. Our focus is to teach our members the fundamental skills needed for careers in venture capital and any adjacent career in finance, tech, or design during their time on the Venture Team. Upon joining the Post-Mentorship Team, however, members will have the unique opportunity to source and pitch investment opportunities for our VC partners, many of which can become executed investments down the line.
Directly no; indirectly, sort of.
Our meetings and programs are centered around discovering and analyzing existing startups, and not on how they're built. However, if you're an aspiring entrepreneur, you might find some of our resources such as connections to founders & VC and learning to think from the POV of an investor useful.
Anything related to the success of a startup.
Venture Capital is the investment money that helps startups grow, and to be able to make good judgments, we need to learn how to think critically about the components that make up the company. Tech plays a large role in developing the cool ideas into actual products, which is why it matters so much to us. Design has also grown in importance to our curriculum.
No, you don't.
Many of our members come in without prior experience with tech or knowledge of VC. Our goal is to teach you and connect you with the resources to learn more about the field! If you'd like to be more involved, we ask that you just show up with burning curiosity and a desire to know more.

A 15-30 minute conversation to "network".
Coffee chats (traditionally over coffee, but we don't really care) are a way to inquire about your chat's profession, company, and role in a more relaxed setting. While informal, it is not a casual hangout so always be prepared with questions!
